Summit School District Teachers Receive $89,696 in Innovative Teacher Awards

The Education Foundation of the Summit (EFS,) in partnership with the parent-teacher organizations at each school, awarded $89,696 in Eileen Finkel Innovative Teacher Grants. All schools and grade levels in Summit School District (SSD) benefitted. 

Ninety grants were awarded for outdoor learning experiences, literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) dyslexia therapy, and support for students.

In addition, teachers recognized by community partners also received a grant:

  • Allison Lloyd, Frisco Elementary, and Caroline Condon, Upper Blue Elementary, tied for Best of Summit Grades K-5
  • Ben Brown, Summit Middle School, Best of Summit Grades 6-8
  • Andrea Kubick, Summit High School, Best of Summit Grades 9-12
  • Tyler Bunnelle, Summit Foundation Outstanding Educator for 2024
